agotrans Logistik GmbH is a family-run logistics SME, whose operational focus is organising road haulage ⁠within Europe. Our core corporate values include teamwork and customer-centric processes, responsible behaviour and mutual respect.

 

We maintain regular direct transport services throughout Germany and⁠ Europe: more than 60 national and over 50 international partners enable us to transport your partial and full loads directly from the consignor to the recipient without any transhipment – via the shortest route, with guaranteed lead times. As there are no changes in the means of transport, no additional costs or delays are incurred. The risk of damage during loading or extended temporary storage is also mi⁠ni⁠⁠mised.

OUR HISTORY

agotrans Logistik has been dedicated to meeting the logistical challenges of its customers and has been a reliable partner offering advice and support since 1972. It is our mission to understand the specific needs of our customers and to develop custom solutions.
Our many years of experience, our tireless commitment and our worldwide network of partners help us to achieve our goals. Our ambition has led to us being one of the last family-run, private logistics companies in the Rhine-Main area that can cover the complete forwarding value chain in the national and international sector.

2022

50 years of agotrans. This made us all very proud. We look forward to everything the future holds and to meeting all customer requirements and challenges with resilient solutions.

2019

Expansion of our high-bay warehouse to accommodate approx. 8,000 pallets and purchase of two crushers for cardboard and PE film.

2014

We were on the move: our new corporate headquarters are now located in Rodgau. Our all-round logistics facility – including a high-bay warehouse with room for over 5,500 pallets – stands on an area of 13,500 m².

2004

We rebranded and are now called agotrans Logistik GmbH. We now have two solid mainstays – pan-European import and export and national transportation.

1989

The opening of the border with the former DDR provided new opportunities for agotrans: its domestic German freight forwarding business was gradually expanded and developed

1972

The freight forwarding and logistics firm, agotrans GmbH, was founded in Frankfurt am Main, focussing on Italy, in terms of both export and import business.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Hub & Spoke System of ONLINE Systemlogistik – a Europe-wide cooperation of medium-sized and owner-operated logistics companies – means we can offer our customers standard transit times of 24/48 hours across Germany. Our extensive general cargo network guarantees fixed transit times for international transport.

THE SYSTEM
The transport routes between two end nodes A and B are not directly connected to each other, but are instead arranged in a star. The connections between the end nodes via a central hub are called spokes. In this way, multiple destinations can be reached from one starting point with significantly shorter transit times. We further accelerate our shipments by supplementing the Hub & Spoke system with direct transports to our partners at short notice and as required.

But this system is not only fast, it also provides many additional benefits both for our customers and for the environment. By intelligently distributing incoming shipments, Hub & Spoke helps to save more than 120,000 transport kilometres every night. This conserves resources, relieves the roads and is good for the environment, all of which are reasons why the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (German Federal Environmental Foundation) supported the establishment of the system.

Consequently, we can transport our customers’ partial loads and full loads directly from the sender to the recipient without transshipment, by the shortest route possible and with guaranteed transit times. As the goods do not change from one means of transport to another, no additional costs or delays are incurred. Moreover, this minimises the risk of damage during loading or due to overly long temporary storage.

QUALITY STANDARDS

Diligence is particularly important in logistics. Our quality management and environmental management processes are based on regular inspections and continuous improvement. We regularly demonstrate our quality standards through independent certification. Our customers trust in this and we reciprocate with consistently high standards.

ISO 14001
We value the responsible use of natural resources. To improve our environmental performance, we fulfil globally recognised environmental management requirements and are ISO 14001 certified.

 

ISO 9001
Optimise processes, guarantee quality: we meet the requirements for effective quality management in enterprises and are certified in line with ISO 9001, a globally recognised standard.

 

HACCP (HAZARD ANALYSIS AND CRITICAL CONTROL POINTS)
We are also equipped for handling foodstuffs. We meet the requirements of the HACCP concept and implement preventive measures to ensure the safety of food and prevent food safety hazards.

 

EN 16258
As a logistics company, we are concerned with the consumption of energy and the emission of greenhouse gases. Certification in accordance with DIN EN 16258 serves to uniformly balance the emissions of climate-damaging gases in the entire transport sector, to create transparency and to identify potential savings.

 

RAW MATERIAL CERTIFICATE
Sorting and compacting: introducing two raw material presses brought us up to the standard required to receive the Bramin GmbH raw material certificate for the conscientious disposal of recyclable materials.

 

SQAS
Safety, quality and sustainability: Our logistics services comply with the European Chemical Industry Association (CEFIC) standard and ensure the safe transport of chemicals. Aspects of environmental protection and social responsibility are an essential part of this.

 

STRONG PARTNERS

agotrans Logistik does not own a fleet of company vehicles. Instead, we maintain long-term relationships with carriers to offer our customers maximum flexibility. Many of our partners have been moving goods for us for over 20 years and quite a few are in the second generation. This is testimony to the trust built up between us and our partners and the high quality standards that we jointly ensure. Regularly training our dispatchers and qualified drivers upholds these principles.

 

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

Further education & professional development: our employees receive regular training so that our customers are assisted by expert advisers and consultants at all times. Our training courses cover industry-specific topics, such as the safe handling of hazardous goods, customs law, quality management and risk management. The advance of digitalisation and automation technology requires us to also train our employees in the use of digital platforms and applications.

SOCIAL COMMITMENT

At agotrans Logistik, we are aware of our responsibility to society and social involvement forms an integral part of our corporate philosophy. We are actively involved in various social projects and initiatives to make a positive contribution and improve people‘s lives.

Our social commitment focuses on several areas, including education, environmental protection and support for disadvantaged communities. We also support local associations and organisations that work to help people in need, whether through financial support, volunteer work or the provision of resources.

The energy transition is also an important topic to us. We are continuously reducing our CO2 emissions by using climate-friendly technologies and processes and raising awareness among our employees. Our most recent project was the installation of an air-to-air heat pump.
